Sometimes there’s a file you need to share, but there just isn’t a feather available that will take care of it. Say hello to the File Feather, a rather simple plugin for your Chyrp installation that enables you to upload files of any type for any occasion.

NOTE: Because of the nature of being able to upload any type of file, this feather could be a really good thing, or it can be a really bad thing. All I can say is be careful about who you trust to be able to upload things, and, of course, backup, backup, and backup some more.

Change Log:
2/2/08 – 1.0.0 – First release
2/3/08 – 1.0.1 – Fixed bug where description was used as the title; Added download count
2/3/08 – 1.0.2 – Updated for Chyrp v1.1
2/5/08 – 1.0.3 – Updated for change from .yml to .yaml info files.

Would it be possible to add an optional title

Title: DSOrganize 3.1129
Description: Changelogs
File : DSOrganize3.1129.zip

Congrats, your Feather is pretty much the new-Chyrp-site testing Feather. ;) First one with a download count, first one to be Loved (on the new site), and first one to be commented on (from the new site).

How about comment editing?

Yep!

@mrshlee Also, thanks for the suggestion about a download counter. I’ll see what I can do.

I’m having problem with the slug. Adding a slug to a file post works but somehow it gets removed a couple of hours later. Anyone having the same problem?

What I’m talking about is related to this post: http://legnered.com/miche/2008/04/15/nokia-6500-classic-isync-plugin/

I have to edit the post at least once a day to add the slug or else the address will end with /id:7.
