Wordpress isn’t too advanced, it’s just not enough or not powerful enough. Where WP is powerful, it’s also clunky (for my mileage), even the new 2.5. This is much more straightforward and maleable.
It’s great that you can get everything that you have in tumblr into chyrp, though!

The main reason I love Chyrp is this feather! Tumblr is too simple, WordPress is too advanced, and Chyrp with additional feathers are the best!
